How We Won:

C.R. Onsrud's path to victory was driven by community support and recognition of our technological advancements. Starting with a nomination from industry peers and supporters, we surged ahead through several rounds of public voting. It was a competitive field, but thanks to our advocates and the undeniable capabilities of our CNC Machining Centers, we emerged victorious.

About the Qube Series CNC Machining Center:

What is the Q-Series? The Q-Series is a 5-Axis fully enclosed CNC milling machine designed for high-speed trimming and machining of complex composite, thermoformed plastic, foam board, wood, aluminum, carbon fiber, fiberglass, and other advanced materials. The rigid frame allows precision cuts at fast speeds while the enclosure contains debris and isolates the operator from the machining area and the airborne particles.

What makes the Qube Series CNC Machining Center the "Coolest Thing"? This high-tech machine isn't just about cool gadgets; it's about unleashing creativity and fueling possibilities. Capable of crafting everything from intricate aircraft parts, to durable furniture, to the molds that make various products, this machine is not just a tool; it's a revolution in making virtually anything imaginable.

Additional facts that make it über cool:

  • Its full enclosure contains debris and safely isolates the operator from the machining zone and airborne particles.
  • It can create accurate cuts that are so intricate that they could not even be created manually let alone at the rate of this high-speed CNC mill.
  • The 5-axis means you secure your material once to the machine’s table, and the machine can cut and drill into every side.
  • It’s fast and powerful with a 12-24 horsepower spindle that rotates at 20,000+ rpm.
  • Its 12-foot by 5-foot table handles large jobs, and the side panels can be removed to accommodate oversized parts.
  • It stands over 14-feet high (the height of a female adult giraffe!)

The removable side panels and optional retractable bellows roof accommodate oversized materials. When closed, they protect the operator from debris and assist with dust collection.

We aren't the only ones who think "the Q-Series is Cool!"

The Q-Series was recently selected as the coolest thing some participants saw at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) show where it was set up to machine scale models of the Statue of Liberty. This iconic monument is more that just eye-catching, it represents freedom and the pairing implies the freedom to manufacture that the Q-Series offers.
